A typical village road in the area of Puerto Plata province, where each day we set up a clinic for the villagers.

An unusual venue for a "pop-up" clinic, the only one that wasn't a church or school – this one was a "discoteca."

Setting off for work on one of many rainy mornings.  We had the option to go in trucks or walk if our destination was a nearby village.  We waved to villagers and talked to them, before we arrived wet, muddy, and happy.

The church-turned-clinic where a three-pound puppy stole my heart.
